Hey guys,

I am not new to the SDN, this is my first post though, I have been reading posts here since the summer.I am a first year student at UC Berkeley, planning to major in Intergrative bio. Everyone here seems to be pretty smart and get good grades. I was wondering what you guys think a decent gpa is? I mean a gpa that will give you a decently competitive shot at an average med school. Also do you guys have any advice for me? I would greatly appreciate any responses.

I think a "decent" GPA for a premed IB major is around 3.6+. But I do think that you'll be surprised at the number of not-so-smart people at Berkeley.
