I am curious whether other medical schools set up their required neurology rotation as office-based, hospital-based, or a combination of the two.

I am currently stuck in an office and I am hating it. It feels as though I am learning less than I did in Family Medicine since we see one patient every 10 minutes and there is no time for discussion, reflection, or reading the patient's medical record. I am at a loss as to how I am going to maximize my learning in this type of environment.

Maybe office based is not so bad after all. I had a patient seize up on me today. Started with complex partial and evolved into a full-blown generalized tonic-clonic seizure with all the signs and symptoms. Scary and cool at the same time since I was alone with the patient and had never seen this before (except in videos). Sucked for the patient though.
