Hi,

I was wondering what "initial accredation" means. That is the status of the ortho program on the U of Nevada's website. Does that mean it is not yet fully accredited by the ADA? So, if you graduate from there, can you only practice in Nevada? Will it be fully accredited any time soon?

they got busted for not being up to the standards for accredation. this year, they decided they would not accept a class of 2010 ortho class, to give them some time to get their act together. it shouldn't be hard to get accredited again... but if you had other choices, why would you risk going there....

The program is fully accredited for the next six years. The reason that no class will be taken is purely a political one that had nothing to do with the quality of the program.
