Hi All,

I have aranted about Yeshiva on this board for 5 months. Here is my final act:

After interviewing in early March for Yeshiva's Clinical PsyD program, I never heard from them again. Of course, I eventually called and the secretary told me I didn't get it, but as of today, May 22, I still haven't received as much as a rejection email. Has anyone else had the same problem? What the hell is wrong with them? How do they interview people and never call them back?

Hope everyone has a nice summer.

Unfortunately many programs are not great about communicating with prospectives who didn't make the cut. I found it to be a bit unprofessional, but it isn't limited to just Yeshiva....many places drop the ball with communicating.

Yeah, I'm afraid that's just the way it goes sometimes. Some schools are amazingly well-organized and professional, and others have issues in that area. Just adopt a "well I wouldn't want to go to such a disorganized school" attitude and you'll feel better, trust me.

I was sent an acceptance to the MA program without having been officially rejected from the PsyD. It is wierd that they don't send out rejection letters.

Yep, I never heard back from BU after my interview. After the interview I felt like it was pretty obvious I wasn't a good match for them but a courtesy rejection letter would have been nice.

I also never heard a word from Yeshiva. I emailed four seperate people employed there and called dozens of times to no avail. I am delighted that I got accepted to school elsewhere and did not get accepted to that school. It is obvious that professional ethics is not of any concern to that organization. People interested in applying to Yeshiva, be warned...

I feel like I need to defend "That Organization" as you put it. You should know that Ferkauf is a school that is completely separate from the overall institution of Yeshiva University; it is ALMOST like a freestanding school. I therefore think that the lack of professional ethics displayed by Ferkauf should not be blamed on, or even linked to the overall "Organization" of Yeshiva University. FYI- I am saying this as someone who also never got an official rejection from Ferkauf.
