Is this schedule too much for next semester?

BIO 301- Physiology 4 credit hours
CHE 111- General Chemistry I 4 credit hours

wat year are you? this seems very normal to me...probably easier than a triple science+labs semester at 12-14 credit hours

As of now I am a second semester Freshmen. I have taken both my Biology's. Never had chem in high school therefore, I took an intro to chem class. But these classes will be for my first semester sophomore year.

seems fine...theres no 200 level bio classes at or univ?

(mine has micro and genetics as 200(0) level classes, and these are prereqs for 3000-4000 level bio classes [including physiology])

The only 200 level classes we have are advanced anatomy and clinical microbiology.

I think gen chem is a pre-req for physiology at my school. Double check on that with your school. Otherwise, it looks good to me! Don't underestimate physio, though. My class was a lot of details and the exams could get really tricky if you didn't know your stuff.

Biochem was a requirement for my Physio class. But realistically that schedule sounds right. You know yourself better than anyone else and you know what you can handle. I want to make note that just cause a class isn't a science class doesn't mean it's going to a breeze.

I second that. My physiology teacher admits that his course is labeled as a 4 credit course, but he feels it has the academic load as an 8 credit class. Physiology is interesting though and is very easy to study for in my opinion due to my personal interest in wanting to become a doctor and all.

At a couple of local schools we have to complete College Algebra before starting General Chemistry. So it surprises me that you can take them concurrently.

Personally, it seems like a really easy semester to me.

Looks like a decent semester!

On a side note: My school requires Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology before Physiology 😡

Yeah, my school requires Cell/Molecular Bio before Physiology and strongly recommends Genetics. Of the different colleges I've looked at, physiology seems to be either a sophomore level class requiring only Gen Bio 1 and 2, or a senior level class (like at my school) that requires other upper level prerequisites.

Edit: I should probably at least respond to OP if I'm going to comment. I think the schedule looks fine, physiology is the only course that looks like it could present any real challenge.

Thanks for the help guys. I am taking General Biology II and Anatomy this semester. So I just figured taking physiology right after anatomy would be a good idea. I mean I dont want to forget what I learned in Anatomy. I think that would just make physiology alot harder.
