Speaking of - I hate, hate, hate January when all the resolutioners (new word) infiltrate the gym. Thankfully most are gone before February 😉
Ditto

Based on my time at the gym today it seems the New Years Resolutioner's have already stopped going to the gym. Thank God. 😉

In my area I am attributing it due to the winter weather.

Wow, and here I was impressed with myself for breaking 315 on deads last week! 😛

I used to hate on resolutioners, but inevitably some of them stick which, good for them. And ultimately the majority fizzle out and things go back to normal.

What annoys me more than anything are the people you can tell are regulars but haven't learned any gym courtesy. By the way, every time you curl in the squat rack you take a year off of your life.

I wish I had a way to teach people through the internet lol. It's one of the few subjects I'm decent enough at that I can punt it here... but that's because I had a really rigorous course to close out undergrad. There's no question that the med school course is a lot easier!

Yea man. Before Christmas break we had two classes instead of several weeks of classes bc the teacher kept missing and now after break, I have a Month and two weeks to learn histo before the quarter ends. Sucks too because this is also my last course. I'm taking it as an elective. I'm paranoid to drop it because maybe my med school acceptance would get rescinded. Lol. This did not go as planned.

1) go to Europe with a friend
2) go to South America by myself
3) work on my health (gym/vitamins/better food)
=> get some rest and fun before school starts

It's not a pre-req so it could be fine. It's nice to have that background before you come in, though... if you really feel you wanna drop it I'd give admissions a ring!

who does curl in the squat rack?! and why would it take a year off of lifespan? are you being sarcastic?

1. Be at a 3.5 CGPA by 2015 (at a 3.32 currently)
2. Start lifting and working out. I am a relatively skinny guy. I used to be ripped and have a six pack when I was a star athlete in middle and high school. Then I grew taller and didn't really care about my weight or if I was in shape lol. I would like to get back to that healthy, lifting mentality.
3. Buy new basketball shoes (completed last week 😀)
4. Try to figure out if I can get a full time job during my gap year when I graduate June 2015.
5. Meet new people.
