This goes to anyone that may be able to help me.
I am a high school senior that wants to become an OB/GYN. The only problem is, I dont know where to start. What classes do I take at my two year college (after that im transferring to a 4 year university) and what exactly am i supposed to major in? i want to be the kind of doctor that specializes in prenatal care and delivery. Anyone know anything to help me?

hello there, i will try to help...

first things first. in college, try to enjoy yourself and take a wide variety of classes. but, make sure you do very well from day one also. as far as what you "need" to take...there are really only a few that you must have and you can most of them at either a2 or 4 year college. you will need a year of bio, a year of chem, a year of organic (i think, or maybe a semester?), a year of physics, and there is usually an english and math requirement as well.

basically, your goal for now is to do well in college and get into med school. when you are in med school you will have a lot more exposure to the other specialties, and as the years go on you may find yourself interested in something else entirely. so, for now, enjoy your senior year, do well in college and focus on getting into med school.

good luck!

thank you very much for your advice...its really appreciated! 🙂
