I was just hoping that anyone who is attending or got accepted to either NJMed or RWJ could answer a few questions for me. I'm a NJ resident and have visited both schools...me likes! I was wondering what you think I need to do to secure a spot at these schools when applying this summer. Yes being a NJ resident helps but only so much. My GPA is a 3.797 so I'm safe there and I have yet to take the MCAT so who knows? One plus is that I actually interned last summer and will be again this coming summer at Jersey Shore Medical Center, one of RWJ's affiliates. The attending who wrote me a recommendation from the hospital trains their grads so I was wondering how this will help, if at all. I am currently trying to meet with students at either school in the hopes that I may bump into some administrators and they'll get to know my name a bit (I emailed admissions and they've been responsive). If I really do want to go to either one, is early decision an easier route to acceptance (though it has its drawbacks, I know)? Should I let them know I am interested already? Sorry to be so long-winded, any help
would be great,
sdm
