Hey guys,

I had a question I was hoping you guys could answer. I am a chemistry major at a NY State school. This semester I started off majoring in one specific concentration at my school but realized the courses don't necessarily peak my interest. I ended up taking a lab for my initial concentration which did not peak my efforts nor did it enhance my knowledge of chemistry (it was an electronics lab). What I'm wondering is if I receive a no credit in this lab course will it sincerely effect my application to medical school as a red flag? My GPA otherwise is a 3.75. The reason I would be getting a no credit is because after swapping concentrations I decided to take Biochem and P Chem within the same semester focusing on those courses which I needed and not a lab that would matter.

Sorry for the block of text but if anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

in my opinion any Incompletes, NPs, Ws, and C's or lower are fair game at an interview and you need to be able to explain yourself

Is this "no credit" as in "blew off a zero credit course and gets no credit" ? While it doesn't hurt your GPA it could raise eyebrows. On the other hand if you are taking p-chem and biochem at the same time and did well, no one will really care as you will have proven yourself in a tough schedule.
