For reasons I don't want to get into, I basically have only one date for taking step 2 early enough to count, and that is the day after my last final in a medium difficulty core clerkship at the beginning of July. I got in the mid-220s on Step 1 and I am looking to get above a 235-240 on Step 2. I've been doing Uworld since Feb while on core clerkships, and I'm wondering if its unwise to take it without any dedicated studying time. I'd have to wait until mid-September to take it if I don't take it then. Thoughts?

I know this scenario is a little crazy, but I'm just wondering how doable it would be. I've done average on my shelf exams.

It all depends on how dedicated you want to be. You know your schedule and abilities best.
