No email updates for interview invites?!

I just learned that not all schools give email updates on interview invites, but rather simply change the status on the secondary application page. In other words, these schools expect the applicant to be logging in and checking the status page every day. Is this correct, and if so, which schools are known for not providing updates? Thanks.

I've heard this for schools I've applied to but I received emails any way. Most likely it's a clerical mistake in the admin office, so I would just check all your schools once a week.

Univ. of Ky is one that does that.

Huh that's funny. Lately I've noticed this too. Nearly all of my schools have forgotten to send me an II via email. Actually, now that I think about it, they forgot to update my online status to II as well. Oh well, I'm sure it's just a clerical mistake...right guys?....guys..?
