is it impractical to start taking predental courses as a junior and take the dat/apply to dental schools maybe 1 year after graduation?

i have no science background thought =\ i am a psychology/journalism major and just weighing my options. i don't want to go to med school and dentistry has become very interesting to me recently.

any thoughts--i'm sure many of the applicants out there are bio/chem/physics majors--what do you think?

it's usually never too late to pursue dentristry, although it may take you more than a year after graduation to finish up all the required courses, take the dat, etc. as long as you're willing to put in the time and the effort, you should definitely go for it.
