hey,

i am in a desperate situation and can anyone please render me any help?
I applied to four schools this summer (upenn, colum, boston, nyu)
and my mailing-out date was July 29 /2011

It has been about 5 months since the mail-out and I have heard nothing
from any of the schools I applied. (except the acknowledgement letters)

my stats are gpa: all >3.7 DAT: all >20 and I am an international applicant.

Just wondering is this wait-time normal? or do you know what is happening?

I am so depressed because I have not received any interview or rejection.
I would rather get a rejection now then wait till like APRIL for a heart-breaking rejection
so that I can come up with a back-up plan in a timely manner..

WOW... what a surprise...

You have amazing GPA and DAT score...

Don't know why you didnt get any interviews with that stats... Did you ever try to call schools?

Since you are a Canadian, your chance will be a lot more higher than other international students.

If I were you, I would try to call schools so that I can get some words. If, I don't think it will happen, you get no acceptance this year, I would reapply broadly... 10+ schools

all you can do it wait is out. its hard, but don't lose hope.

your DAT is not high enough for columbia for a canadian... at least, that's what I think - they rarely accept canadians and if they do it's when you have 25+. You just need to keep your chin up and hope for the best - your stats are good enough to get into UT and UWO too, so you shouldn't be too worried.

You will get into the Ontario schools. Your selection of schools was not broad enough, plus schools like BU interview Canadians with strong stats later on in the cycle, they assume that these applicants probably would have selected another school once dec1 comes around those that didnt will accept the interview invites.

no disrespect but unless your 2-year-best or one year-dropped-gpa is much higher than your cgpa that you posted above you will not get into an ontario school and im sure you know that, im mostly saying this to the people posting above.

I do think you have a good chance at nyu, i had 3 canadian friends who got into nyu late with similar stats to yours and they submitted their app later than you

The OP's gpa is much higher according to the predent profile.

Hey OP,
Before considering applying to Cdn schools,, check out the premed101 thread called "opening the flood gates: foreign students can challenge the borads". It might change your mind about studyin and practicing in Canada.
