Hi,
I'm using TPR hyperlearning and for some reason there are no practice passages listed in the homework schedule for Mechanics parts I and II. Does anyone know why this might be? There's a ton of independent questions but it seems quite odd there are no passages. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

thanks

PS (yes i know BR woulda been killer.....)

What edition books are they? what year? and what page? I'll try to check mine and see if mine are missing also. Mechanics is a pretty big deal I'd say.

For Mechanics I and II no passages are listed in the homework schedule (and the homework sched does cover all physics passages so it's not an error). They have 10 practice passages for Mechanics III but it doesn't cover the first two parts.

Someone on another board told me this is b/c it's very rare to get a passage on mechanics on the MCAT and they are usually stand alones. Sounds weird considering 3 out of the 10 physics chapters in TPR are Mechanics and my Ek set also doesn't say "don't worry, this won't be in a passage" which is their forte.

Any insight wold be much appreciated
thanks
steve

The edition from this year is the same way. There's like 1 or 2 passages each for the first two mechanics chapter and then 10 or 11 for the third chapter. The idea is that those passages will incorporate aspects of all of Mechanics. It IS quite unlikely that the MCAT will have a passage just on force, but it's more than happy to combine force with torque, angular momentum, and gravity.
