no reply to thank you email

i emailed a thank you email to everyone who i interviewed with at my top program, only the chief replied back and one other interviewer...
then I emailed the pd expressing my interest in the program since its close to rank list time...again no response

is this a bad sign?

no way of knowing. some programs just don't reply to things.

No. I don't reply to every email or letter and I get a lot. No reflection whatsoever on my thoughts of the individual. Just busy is all.

its just that its my top choice so its so discouraging!
