So I had three interviews pre december. I haven't heard anything from any of the three schools.. No acceptance, no rejection, no wait list. I've attempted to contact all the schools through email and phone and only one replied which leads me towards that school if I ever got accepted. But honestly.. Is anyone else in this boat? Everyone else I know is getting at the very least a wait list. Is it better to not get a wait list? If anyone has been through this before let me know and if you have any idea what it could mean go ahead and pitch your idea I got nothing better to do than read it. Thanks guys

It depends on the school. Some school do not compile a formal wait list until like march or April.and some school that do have a "wait list" don't use it.
If you haven't been rejected you're "okay"

I think I remember seeing you post in the UIC thread. I'm not sure if that's the school that got back to you or not. But I did interview there earlier this month and they said they were reviewing more candidates at the end of the month (I think this is the deposit deadline for a handful a recently admitted students), and if spots are available, they will notify people then. I think this applies to people that recently interviewed, as well as those that are waitlisted from earlier interviews (or in your case maybe waitlisted but don't know you're waitlisted). Just thought I'd give you some hope while you wait. Best of luck man!

I'm in the same boat with three schools that I interviewed at. I'm not on a waitlist, nor have I been rejected. I've been told that I'm still in the pool of applicants. I called one of the schools I interviewed at this morning and I was told that they don't accept letters of intent. By applying and going to the interview, the school believes you are very interested in attending, so no letter is needed. All we can do is wait it out and hope for the best.

Same boat…. 3 pre-dec interviews…. decent stats, a lot of community service and shadowing…. interviews went well (in my opinion)…. but no acceptance yet.

I am dealing with TX schools though. They be takin' their sweet time… UGH. 🙄

On same boat as you all. This is worse than being on waitlist. It's most likely a "hold" Im going guess. Waitlist for waitlist 🙁

many people are on the same boat. Some people are fortunate enough to have multiple acceptances, but the thing is they can only take one in the end.
So, when people with multiple acceptances make their decision, seats should open up.

I am trying to stay positive.

The problem right now is that there are SEVERAL students holding multiple spots. As much as it sucks, things will progress and you will get a response post April 1st.

April1st is when those hoding multipe seats HAVE to make a decision. So as long as you haen't been rejected out right before then you stil have a chance.

I appreciate the help man. This stuff is just confusing lol. April first is such a long time guys. I don't know why people hold more than one spot. It's aggravating for people in my position. I think 1 month is plenty to make your mind up about a school. Not only that but after April first it will be really hard to look for a nice house/apartment to rent out near the school that accepts you if you are accepted. Thanks for the responses guys I appreciate it! I'm hopin for the best for everyone along with myself.

I don't think it'll be hard to look for a nice apartment to rent out near the school cuz most properties have a 60 day move out notice…I'm already accepted but I'm a sitting duck at the moment with apartment/house hunting cuz no one will know what their availability is like until May/June when people give the leasing office their move-out notice.

I've never understood why people hold multiple spots. Do they pay the deposits of both those schools they got accepted in?? That seems like a waste of money to me.

Unless they got accepted on March 15t, I don't see why you would be holding Multiple spots if you got accepted in Jan or Feb.

I think they are the people who are waiting for state schools, "top choice" or the cheapest schools AND must have a lot of money to put down for the deposits.

I spent all my money on applying and going for interviews...The Fall was not a good semester for me Financially (got a 4.0 though 😛)

Let's hope that's the case of I get accepted. Hah. I'm not too familiar with realestate or any of that good stuff but I hope I'll be able to find something good.
