I'm sort of freaking out about this exam. I am in no way prepared for the Biology section. All the others should be decent, but this summer has been way too hectic. My school's curriculum doesn't allow us to take Anatomy or Organic until our sophmore year, which, as we all know, is the year that we apply to school and need to take the PCAT. I'm thinking about doing the no score option, but I don't know if that would just be a waste of a hundred and some odd dollars. Anyone have any opinions? Has anyone opted to do the no score option before?

Buy the practice tests from Harcourt...it's something like $57 for two full length exams which are very similar to the actual PCAT. After taking the practice tests they give you an approximate percentile range that you would be expected to be in given the same level of performance on the actual PCAT. You should be able to gauge whether you are ready enough or not with these, instead of spending $120+ just to take the test and do the no score option.

You've already put in $125 either way, whether or choose to score it or not. Unless you haven't registered yet. In that case buy the practice tests.

So once you're done your test, at the end, right before you finish the last section, if you don't feel confident about how you did, just bubble in the no score option. You won't know until you wrote the actual thing.

I think I really like this option. I've had to take classes this summer, and I haven't had a whole lot of time to study, so I know this is going to be awful. When I registered, I didn't know what I was doing for this summer, which was a BIG mistake. But what if I went ahead and scored it? If I took it over in October would my August scores still matter?

if i was in your shoes, i would take the no-score option. you said yourself you aren't at all prepared for bio...why get a bad score that you know isn't your best work and will only decrease your confidence? even if you are going with no score, study hard and do your best...it will be good prep for oct.
