No Secondary Yet

Both WesternU screen pre-secondary, and according to the schools-specific thread it can take around a month before you receive a secondary

Patience is a virtue, the need for instant gratification is not.

Schools stratify the apps as they come in and don't send out secondaries or IIs merely in chronological order.

Secondaries are often a tax on the hopelessly naïve, if not pathologically optimistic.

hmm okay, I actually checked and its been a month and a half, maybe I will still get one. I just wanted to see if this was normal for these schools, I figure if they reject me pre-secondary they would notify me. Thanks!

I was wondering if this was normal practice or if I should take it as a rejection (but I think they would tell me?) To be honest, I rather appreciate it because it gives me time to write other stuff. I figured most schools sent them in chronological order since many of them send secondaries to most applicants who meet basic requirements. They are probably pursuing better candidates at this point then and I might get one down the road. Thank you!

I think it is normal (?), and I wouldn't check with the school yet until it is a solid two months. Personally, 2 months if my "patient deadline" if a school doesn't send me a "primary received" email.

FYI, someone shared in the school-specific thread that Western has received thousands of apps the last month or so for both campuses, so give them some time to screen it out.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't even consider emailing them this early on haha. I just thought it was weird that these were the only schools that didn't even send a primary received email. Thank you so much, that's good to know, I didn't see that on the thread when I was looking!
