My DAT is right around the corner (literally four days away) and I am not ready at all I feel like. My parents still want me to take the damn thing but at this point I can't cancel because I'm within the 48 business hour period. I know that I will not score well if I take it, so is it best for me to just not show up? I still have eligibility to take it a couple months from now to take it again. Any advice is appreciated thanks!

What are your practice scores + GPA? I can tell you if you are just freaking out.

Not feeling ready is the worst, but so is shelling out the money and letting it go to waste without trying :\ Try your best and see how you do, and if you feel that your scores aren't the best, then it's not a crime to take it twice. At least you'll know what to expect the second time around, right? If you do poorly, either way you'll be paying ~$800 total whether you show up or not.

Ogpa 3.4 Sgpa 3.1. I was mistaken I was allowed to reschedule so I did so. My practice test averages by section have been PAT~20, QR~18, Bio/Chem/Orgo ~14-16, RC~? didnt study. I want to make sure my science scores are higher before I take it

Here is the what is in the 2015 ADA guide book, page 22, about rescheduling. Also look for Dentalgirl5 post, she was in the same dilemma and reschedule a few days before. You could even pm her.

Rescheduling fees are as follows:
Number of Days Prior to Testing Appointment Fee
24 business hours before to 5 business days prior to the testing appointment.
$100 6 to 30 business days prior to the testing appointment. $60
31+ business days prior to the testing appointment. $25
