Dear friends,

I am trying to get a non accredited position in a speciality in a city. I wrote to the PD of the medicine program and he pointed me to the department where these positons are available. So i rung the department and the secretary does not have any clue of what i am talking about. She asked me to ring the human resources who arent helpful either. Could someone tell me whom i should contact for a non accredited position?
1. is it the PD directly under whom i would want to do one?
2. is it human resources? or someone else?
cheers,

I would venture it would either be the PD of the department you are interested in doing a non-accredited residency (provided they have a PD) or that Department Chair.

Its hard not dealing with administrative types, but as you can see, if its not on the checklist in front of them, they often are no help. I would call the department Chair and say "PD X referred me to you" or at the very least, if you can't get through on the phone, an email.
