can someone explain this in a simpler way.

Im using EK chemistry and they keep talking about work as PV or non PV work. I understrand work is just transfer of energy from a system to surrounding (negative) or from surrounding to system (positive).

Work = Pressure *change in Volume

But WTF is non PV work???

i looked it up and found that its basically work derived from something that has nothing to do with pressure of volume. for example, electrical work due to movement of electricity
