a few years ago, i had some info on a med school (i think it was caribbean?!) where you could do your first two years via computer study modules at home that would be overseen by a local md preceptor. the last two years would be at an affiliated hospital. i got wrapped up in pursuing another school and lost the info on the other. anybody else know the program i'm talking about!?

Whatever program you're talking about (two years of distance learning modules) is a program you need to stay far, far away from. I'm not a fan of words like "always" or "never" in these advice threads, but if you go that route, to a non-Big 4 Carib program that uses distance modules and then plugs you into an "affiliated" hospital, you will never practice medicine in the US. Please gather more information here and in a few of the other forums and carefully consider your chances to match competitively. I'll leave it to someone in the know to name said program.
