are there resources (books, websites, etc) geared specifically for non-traditional applicants?

it seems that the nature of being non-traditional applicant is that there is a less structured approach to applying - but is there some sort of general consensus on advice that non-traditionals should follow?

Yep, there are a lot of non-trads on this site and we're full of opinions.

thanks for the replies guys. i'm asking on behalf of an older friend who should be showing up here on SDN soon since i referred him to this oh-so-amazing site.

I'm 40 years old, a second year med student, and I suppose what I did as an older applicant was to openly address the 'age thing' in my essays and interviews and tried to use it to my advantage.
