Hey there,

I'm trying to finalize my school list and would welcome any thoughts on my chances at these schools. I'm still trying to cut it down to 20. Thanks in advance!

Background
-Nontrad applicant who graduated from an Ivy <5 years ago
-Pennsylvania native, but NYer now.
-Did a post-bac at a public school to complete nearly all of my pre-reqs (4.0 GPA).
-3.68 cGPA, 3.75 sGPA
-35 MCAT: 13 PS, 11 VR, 11 BS
(That low-ish Bio score was a fluke given my later practice scores)

I would rather not be too descriptive with my ECs, but suffice it to say that I've covered all of my bases with research (non-lab and thesis), work experience, clinical volunteering, and non-clinical volunteering. I also have great great LORs. I'm not an URM, but I would consider myself disadvantaged.

Current School List
I'm somewhat limited to the major cities, and primarily on the East Coast because my significant other is based out of NYC.

You have great stats but your list is definitely top heavy!

Schools to consider cutting:
Brown - They really like people from the area, it would be tough to break into that. However you are a non-trad and they love that. Weigh these two options, and consider how willing you are to actually study in Providence.
HMS - who doesn't want to apply to HMS, but unfortunately they really like younger applicants
UofI - not the most OOS unfriendly, but still not great for OOS applicants
Georgetown and GWU - some of the most applied to schools in the country, unless you explicitly express interest in them early on, theres a very low chance of getting an interview.

You have a good list going. Just make sure you stay on top of those secondaries and send them out ASAP! Also remember to not be afraid of communicating with adcoms. Most are generally very friendly, only a few (like Yale) aren't. I don't see why you wouldn't have a good number of interviews this season.
