Hey brothers and sisters 🙂

Any of you started to fill out AMCAS 2003 yet? I'm going to do it 'just in case' but i couldn't get past the first section.. it is so.. depressing 🙁

I'm not a person who needs a group to go to the restroom with me or anything but I'd really feel better if there was someone here doing the same thing.

Yep, they don't want me, even with my MCAT score. I found out that I also scored well on my interviews. Don't get it.

I started AMCAS 2003 and TMDSAS. I still need to rewrite my essay, but other than that I'm ready to go. I think I'm going to wait until July to submit though.

I'm thinking of filling it out too. I've been hesitant to do so though, because I guess I'm still in denial. Heh...

Good luck to you though. You've been waitlisted at some great schools, so I'm confident that you'll get in for sure whether it's this year or next!!

Hey, guys. I don't know quite what to say. I know as well as anyone how frustrating and nerve-wrecking this waiting game has been. In the end, I am confident that most, if not nearly all, of you will get in this year. All of you have great stats. I've seen many of you guys post supportive, candid and helpful things on SDN, in spite of your own trials. You guys are all amazing. So, never lose your hope and enthusiasm for the medical career that you're aiming for. Because, although it comes more easily to some than others, I know that life ultimately has a way of taking care of things on its own. I will be hoping and hoping for the best for all of you on this list. Also, I want to say, thank you!!!

I am withdrawing from this list tonight. I just got back from Vancouver and I find a big envelope from New York Medical College. It's been a long, long road for me. When this fact sinks in and I have a chance to reflect on all the stuff that I've had to go through, I think I will finally be able to shed tears in joy.

I haven't formally posted on this thread but I figured that I should do so now since May 15th is two days away. I was rejected by Wash U, was put on "hold" by UCDavis and am still waiting to hear something, anything from UCLA. I hope that I can get swept along with all the people who are moving and who are going to be moving off of this list very soon. Good luck guys!!

Otter, that is awesome! 😀 😀 I went through the same turmoil (months and months w/out an acceptance), and it ended with the same result. I was accepted to NYMC two weeks ago. Over the past couple weeks my happiness over my future career has transformed into excitement for the move up to New York. Its a very good school with great people and great facilities in a great location. I am on the wait list at my top choice but thats a long shot so there is a very good possibility we will be classmates. I look forward to meeting you!

Hero, I saw your message posted on medicalgold.com the other day and quite frankly I couldn't understand why you'd have to be applying for the third time. You seem like a really nice person, you went to a great undergrad, and your stats are awesome. You've done better this year than in the past two years with 4 waitlists. I really feel that things will work out for you this time around.

LBJeffries, looks like NYMC saved both of our butts 😀 . Good luck trying to get into your top choice! If that doesn't work out, hey we will still be in medical school and we'll be classmates! I agree with you that the merits of NYMC are its great people and great facilities. Also, I like the focus on primary care.

Anyone else get the sinking feeling that these schools are just going to take people who already have acceptances? They'll just get shuffled around between schools.

All of us would do anything to get into any school...It just seems so unfair.

so I would think this would make it better for us orphans. b/c med schools wouldn't want to be stepping on any other school's toes? 😕
