Hello. I would like to ask current/past students re: their core clerkship experiences, especially if they did not have a 1:1 student to attending ratio for rotations. My school follows a H/HP/P/F grading scheme. Was it more difficult to have a true learning experience during rotations if you were in a bigger group? Was it more difficult to secure a positive letter of recommendation, etc? I will likely have a 1:7 ratio for my clerkships. I attend school in an underserved area with no teaching hospitals, so I guess this is the norm. I just learned this is unusual because my friend attends a T10 and was shocked to hear that we do not have a 1:1 ratio.

Thank you in advance.
