not having to interview again, is that a bad thing?

i had gotten an interview at one of the schools last year but i didn't get in. recently they told me that they don't have to interview me again this year, the last year's will carry over so i asked why and they said b/c i did well. is this a good thing? i thought all schools interview you even if you have interviewed before. im confused and sacred 😕 someone please help me

What were your stats last year? Did you apply to a lot of schools?
