Does anyone know what happens if you don't show up for an MCAT you are registered for? Like in a case where you don't cancel, but just don't show up? Does the test just cancel itself?

From page 17 of MCAT Essentials

"Absences/No Shows
If you do not attend an exam for which you are registered, neither your registration nor your absence
will be reported to schools. However, it will count toward the maximum three attempts you are allowed
within the testing year. In addition, your registration fee will not be refunded."

It gets scored.

Enjoy your 3, OP.

This is not even remotely funny.

Thanks! So just to be sure, it will not be scored right?

"no shows" count just like a voided score. So, no, it won't be scored at all. It will still count as one of your 3 yearly attempts, however.

Edit: I was responding to your request for clarification, but you posted that in response to someone who linked you the policy directly from the AAMC. That should be all the clarification you need.

You should cancel since you have no desire to show up. There are people just waiting for spots to open up or are resigned to taking the 2015 because there are no spots left. At least make one person happy that they can take the exam in place of you, if you're not even going to show up. If you want to show up and take the test, you can void it.

Unfortunately, my test is tmrw so I don't think anyone else will be able to register. I am planning on just showing up and voiding it.
