How long after an interview do you receive whether you have been accepted or denied? Also, will that come via e-mail or mail? I go to school in Kansas, but will be home in Chicago over xmas break and I do not want to miss whether I have gotten in or not.

within two weeks, I think acceptances vary from school to school.

Depends on the school. For Kent they told me it was going to be a week after my interview but I heard back in a couple days via email, followed by a letter a few days later. I think most schools meet every two weeks though.

Most accept you in 1 week. I got e-mail in just 1 week after interview. AZPOD took a little bit longer than week.

RFU acceptance within a week via email.
Kent+DMU interviewed on the 9th and 5th respectively and still waiting. Kent said about 2 weeks, DMU said it should be ready by the 9th and obviously still waiting (and yes I have called into them last week to follow up). I suppose I must be enough of an enigma to the committee that I have their heads scratching or causing some heated debate.

How often do schools notify you on the day of the interview of your acceptance?
I've seen that happen to a few people.

Idk the frequency but if that happens, which it does, the candidate probably exceeded gpa and mcat requirements along with a slam dunk interwiew, and perhaps the committee met while the student(s) was (were) still on campus.

I would think the best case scenario for most applicants would be hearing back in a few days once the committee has actually met.

Oh okay, cool.
Thanks for the information 👍

I would be skeptical of people who claim that. I would think the only way that is possible is for this candidate to already be well known by ADCOM and have rock star stats so the interview is more perfunctory rather. It probably happens, but I can not see it much. I have heard the comittees usually only meet 1x a week.

hmmm, interesting.
I'll keep that in mind, are you applying this cycle?
