This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
are you talking about the school in maryland? i have an interview scheduled on november 30. do you know anything about the school? ever seen the campus?

What's the candidate status of this school?

Does anyone know about the cost of NDM Pharmacy? I can't find anything about tuition on their website.

Just curious.
For those who got invited to the interview, what is your GPA and PCAT score? How well do I have to do to get invited..
considering I have no pharmacy experience....

Thank you guys!

Hey guys! I got an interview for December 20! I was wondering if any of you who have already interviewed would mind telling me the questions they asked at the interview? I'm so nervous. Thanks for the help! =)

I submitted the supplemental early this week. My cumulative GPA and science gpa are both 2.86 but I have an 85 PCAT. Has anyone interviewed with stats like that?

anyone know how long it takes for a reply after your application is sent from pharmcas? Thanks!

Those who interviewed 2-3weeks ago...have you received any news yet? Has anyone got accepted yet?

I received an email today with an interview invite for January 7, 11, 14, or 18. I submitted my supplemental application on November 23, so it took about 3 weeks to hear back from them.

I received a Happy Holiday's email from Notre Dame today. So nice, interviewing on January 11! 🙂

Hey guys,

I had an interview at Notre Dame on Monday, 20th of December (yesterday).
It was my first interview so I was kinda nervous and i didnt know what to expect.

However, the stuff and professors are very nice. I had an interview with two professors and questions were pretty straight forward:
"Why Pharmacy?"
"What kind of experience did you have with Pharmacy?"
"What is something that you dont like about Pharmacy"
"Tell us about some difficulties that you had and how did you overcome it"
"Tell us about one example where you showed leadership"

Then afterwards I was given a chance to ask them question.

Personally, the school is a lot better than I expected and it has a great potential of becoming a great school one day.

After the interview with two of the professors, we had a presentation led by Dean Dr. Lin and then we had lunch with first year student. You also get to hear about Baltimore in general and about financial aid for tuition.

i am interviewing on the 18th...but im really paranoid since im a guy and its a womens college and plus i have very very very average gpa and pcats
does anyone know how many people will they interview and the class size for this year? on pharmcas it said 250 interviewed 170 accepted but only 70 was the incoming class??
and also how fast are they with their decisions cuz i interviewed at hampton and they wont decide until march/april.

Dont be nervous. When I had an interview, there was 7 of us - 5 girls, one guy and myself. However, their statistics say that their classes are divided about 50% girls - 50% boys.
They say that they send 2 acceptance letters for one spot, but you have to understand that this school is new and a lot of people will go somewhere else if they can.
For PCAT - i dont know what to tell you. I am an international student so my PCAT scores are not that great since I didnt do so well on the language sections of it. However, they didn't ask me anything about it. They focused more on what were my experiences with pharmacy and why would i want to enter pharmacy school without graduating.

They say we will receive a letter from them in about two weeks. Since holidays are coming I expect it to take it even longer.

Be yourself, dont let them see you are nervous !

thanks "stefke" that was very reassuring!!
but i will have a b.s degree b4 joining the class so i guess that will kinda boost my confidence up!! haha
thanks for your help again

Hi Everyone,

My interview is Jan 11 and I'm not familiar with the area. Would anyone like to carpool?

hey,

i had my interview earlier in nov and i made a mistake taking the cab bc it was like $40 from the BWI to my hotel in inner harbor. While i was there i learned that you can take the light rail only $1.70 (which can be located downstairs of the airport) take the light rail to Pen Station (it took like 20-25 mins) then from pen station take a cab or a bus to notre dame (the cab ride was 10 min and only cost $15)... dat was wat i did when i flew home or else you will end up spending a lot on taxi fares...:luck:

So I interviewed 1st week of December. I loved loved loved the school. They really sold it well and their mission is all about collaboration and innovation. Thought I wasnt gonna hear from them until mid-January but then day before Christmas Eve I get a call saying I have been accepted. I was elated. Its wonderful right. Only thing is all of my other interviews are between Jan. 8 and February 15.

Notre Dame said I have to give them an answer by January 10. What do I do?

These are decisions that I didnt think I was going to have to be making so soon.

Thanks pharm4fun. I'm a Californian all my life. It will be quite an experience going there for the first time 🙂

I am in the same situation as you. I got my acceptance letter on December 9, but I have an interview for my top school Jan 6. Larry said he could push back my acceptance til the 1st week of January. I am not sure what to do at this point either.

Have you been accepted to Notre Dame? If so, you should have received a package of pertinent information. Furthermore, when you interviewed you should have been given information on FAFSA. I recommend that you contact admissions asap. Good luck!

Thanks Greekmeek, I have been accepted and paid my deposite and turned in all the form in late december. I have received an email from adm office stating that they have receive all my info...but on the matri. agreement there is a list of things (like transcript, proof of permanent residency, etc..) that we have to turn but there is no dates...also i want to know about the housing, so do you think that we should be receiving a letter soon about all of that?

Congratulations on your acceptance! I do not have the document in front of me, but I remember the due date for all the items you mentioned was stated on the front page of the acceptance letter. I'm pretty sure you will get more information on housing soon as well. If you're really worried, I would call the admissions office to clarify things. Also, I'm in state and live fairly close to the school, so if you need any tips about good neighborhoods etc, let me know. Feel free to send me a PM. Cheers!

On the acceptance letter, it states that a Tuition deposit is due on May 1, 2011. In addition, updated transcripts, medical info, etc, I believe, should be received by the school by August 1, 2011.

Also, I just mailed my acceptance and deposit yesterday and am in the process of looking for a place to live. If there is anyone that was also accepted for Fall 2011 and is looking for a roommate, message me! 🙂 I'm looking to live at the Carlyle (from what I can see it looks like a nice place and it's not too far from school). But if you know any other place, let me know too. I'm looking for a quiet, clean, and responsible female to share an apartment.

That's a pretty good area to live. It's right next to Johns Hopkins and there is the Baltimore Museum of Art nearby as well. ..Just do not stray east of Charles St or go further south from Hopkins when looking for an apartment. If you want to expand your search for a residence, you could go North and a bit West and look for townhomes for rent. With these, you'll have more room and it will probably be less expensive to rent or at least the same. I was unfamiliar with the Carlyle so I googled it and the reviews weren't so hot. There are a few more apt buildings on University Pkwy and on North Charles st. Also, Hampden (hyperlink just takes you to Google, type in Hampden, Baltimore) is a "hip" area a bit west and south from the Carlyle with nice restaurants and shops. You might find a townhouse or apt there. Finally, try getting in touch with some current students living near the campus; they might have some good tips as well. Good luck on your search!

Hey I have recently been accepted to ND and went this past Monday to look for places. I sent in my deposit and all my paper work. I'm so excited to start. I'm also looking for a roommate. Private message me if anyone is interested and we can figure it out. I want to live in a nice safe area. I found a couple very nice places and they're very spacious as well.

Thanks GreekMeek! I'm still in my early stages of researching for places to live. Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely look at those other neighborhoods.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!! Has anyone started looking for places to live. I don't really know the area and when I asked around they said there are waiting lists for the apartments.
