hey everyone

I just got accepted to NOVA and can't wait to get started. I have one question, can NOVA prepare me to enter the EM field. Is it hard for DOs to get MD EM residencies? Any help would be great...thanks and happy holidays.

A guy I went to high school with went to Nova, did EM at Albany, was Chief resident there, and actually came back to Buffalo to work, and hated it so much, he left (meaning he got good job interviews, and didn't have to take what he could get). I think he graduated DO in 95 or 96.

dr. doogie-
to give you the correct answer, any medical school will prepare you for going into Emergency Medicine.

But to make you more confident, I am a 4th year at NSUCOM, and am applying for EM residencies. I applied MD residencies only... and have received around 21 interviews. So fear not. I know many alum in the years above me that are also in EM residency.

So relax.

And enjoy your pre-medical days.
