Congrats! I was actually scheduled for 9/23 in person and just now contacted them for a virtual as well because of Covid exposure. Let me know if you hear anything!

The first hour and a half you are on a zoom call with all the other people interviewing (about 10). During that time the director of admissions, some students and the dean just talk to everyone about the school. Then you get your own time slot for a 30 minute individual interview. You'll be fine it was really low-stress!
Ik this is a weird question, but did they make you wear a mask durring the interview, and do you think it’s appropriate to shake your interviewers hand?

Hey, is it much sooner with a virtual interview?

He just emailed me a new link and asked me to cancel my in person first. THE DATES FOR VIRTUAL IS WAY EARLIER. there is even some openings coming this week but since this school is one of my top choices i first wanna attend some other schools interviews to get ready for this one.

Awesome! I just got the email too! So relieved! Hopefully our chances are equal to those who go in person. I just rescheduled to October 6th virtual.

The admissions director will send you an email a day or two before your interview with links to the different zoom meetings and instructions. The interview was super chill and everyone was really nice!
my interview is virtual tomorrow. Is it normal that I haven't received the links yet?

So I'm currently a practicing hygienist in NC and would have to take 2 weeks unpaid quarantine leave if I traveled out of state. I emailed Mr. Mendes and asked for a virtual interview, waiting to hear back.

Just got an interview!!! So I picked the date of my interview and just to clarify: it’s going to be in person but if you want it virtual you have to email and ask correct?

Is anyone out of state actually choosing to do the in person interview?

If you only want to check out the campus do the in person one otherwise they probably not gonna prefer in person ones over virtual ones. If they wanted to do so they wouldn't offer virtual at all.

Interview #3

Method of notification: Email
Residency: MI
Application complete date: 08/21
GPA (overall, science): 3.80/ 3.72

I just went ahead and chose in person! It’s a bit later but I feel that another month hopefully wouldn’t make too much of a difference because this cycle in general is later

Received an interview invite at 11 this morning. Wasn't given a choice between virtual or in-person interview, but I suppose that makes sense since I'm only one state over

I wasn’t given the choice to pick, you were?

I wasn’t given a choice either and I am out of state. I thought that all interviews are in person unless you reach out and ask to change it to virtual. Correct me if I am wrong

I'm not sure, but Fort Lauderdale is a nice area to visit in the Fall. I'm not gonna request virtual unless an emergency arises

I have not received a conformation for my interview appointment, should I email them for that?

how is the interview for those of you who already did it in person? like the layout of how the day is planned, i haven't received any info yet

how was your interview?
The interview was pretty chill. The interview was like a conversation and no one knows how they grade the interview. Only 118 out of 733 interviewees got into the program last year which means it is pretty competitive. Since you can't control whether they like your answers or not, just be yourself in the interview I guess. 🙂 Good luck!

Isn't the acceptance day, December 15th? The earliest day I could find was January 5th. How does this work?

the earliest they can notify students for acceptances/rejections is December 15th but that doesn't mean they can't notify people later then that. There are a lot of students who have post December interviews and that just means you'll find out that much later in the cycle.
