I got a call from NSU saying a decision about my application would be made soon. Has anyone heard anything from them? I'm so anxious to here back!
 
They called me to say app is under review!
 
that's awesome! I'm waiting for my official GRE scores to be posted and then pay all of my supplemental applications. Very close!
 
They called me too! However, I applied for the Hybrid program not Ft. Lauderdale .

oh wow. im guessing you guys applied early july?
 
Mine has been under review since August 1 or earlier, but I believe the adcom doesn't actually meet until late August to mid September. Did the DPT program call you or student processing services?

I got a call from them a few weeks ago saying that my application is under review as well.
 
They are waiting on my updated GRE . But this is super exciting good luck to everyone!

Remember that Nova is on rolling admissions so you could hear from them at any time, just because you don't hear from them dosnt mean you won't get in...I think last year a large number of students heard around November, or after. I would be surprised if they sent out a lot of admission offers this early but they might!

Has anyone heard back from Nova yet? I got a call a few days ago that my app is under review (sent my PTCAS app 9/19). Just wondering any of you that applied early got any word yet about acceptances.

Nope. We are all enjoying the never ending waiting game🙂. I'm going to swing by the October 24th to check out the program. I'll ask when we will be hearing anything.

Ughh... I hate the never ending waiting game. It's torturous. But thanks for checking and asking when you do drop by there. Also, let us know what your experience and impression of the campus is from your visit. Is NOVA your #1 school if offered admission? It's one of my top choices after seeing a couple of threads about NOVA and how most students love the program and the area. Plus, I wouldn't mind moving out there from Cali for three years. I believe it'll be a good change of scenery for me.

I have a masters degree from Nova, 2 letters of Rec from Nova professors, and I have been waiting since August 1 to hear anything, that's when my app went under review. Anyway Welcome to the waiting club.

Yes Nova is one of my top choices. I'm hoping for either Nova or Miami. I will certainly give you my impressions of the program after I see it. I would love to live in that area also. It will be a huge change from WV🙂

Nice! Thanks for the welcoming party... feels good that all of us are suffering TOGETHER. haha! Who knows, we all might just end up as classmates for their graduating cohort of 2018. 😛
 
Wondering if any of you, @Meadows22 or @ptlover or anyone that applied to NOVA this cycle, heard anything from them yet?

Hi I spoke to Tony yesterday he told me by mid next week I should hear! I am sure more decisions are coming then

I called a minute ago and was told that I would get an email by the middle of next week with a decision. I've heard of people not getting accepted receiving letters by snail mail. Has anyone heard of rejections/wait list applicants receiving an email? I'm trying to get some insight, probably futily, on whether that email will be an acceptance 🙂
 
Ughh... this wait is killing me for sure! If you're getting a decision by next week... that means that I'll probably get mine 2-3 weeks later. (>_<)

You may find out the same time. Call and ask them when you will be hearing something. That's what I did. Then you will at least know 🙂
 
Just called... and I'm still "Under Review". (>_<)
 
When you get accepted you get an email and then about a week or two later you get a letter in the mail as well. I think your deposit is due within a week (or two, I don't remember sorry!) of receiving the acceptance EMAIL (not mailed letter).

Not sure what happens when you are rejected or put on hold, my guess is that they email as well and then mail too or only just only mail.

hi all... I applied to Nova as well and this is my second time applying. I received a letter in the mail yesterday and they put me on a wait list.. Has anyone else heard anything??? I applied early August 🙁
 
@DPT2018! I'm still waiting on an answer from them.... If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats by the way?
 
I just spoke with Tony Garcia. He told me that the Adcom is not in this week, but they will be in next week and will be emailing acceptances next week. I verified that my application will be one of the ones decided upon. My application went to the Adcom September 3 so anyone else who's application went to the Adcom on or before that date should be hearing something also. Hopefully this eases some minds. I told Tony Garcia that this process is enough to make a preacher cuss🙂
 
Did you receive an email saying that your application went to Adcom?
 
@Lots of Praying That's good to know. Damn, too bad mine went to Adcom on the 1st of October. That probably means that I won't hear from them until mid-November. Blah! However, good luck to you and let us know how it turns out. 🙂

I received a phone call on September 3 saying that my application went to Adcom. I called last week and was told that Wednesday (yesterday) acceptance emails would go out. Since I didn't hear anything I called today and found out what was going on. I had a feeling that there was probably a few people out there stressing over this just as I am🙂

I will definitely keep everyone posted🙂. You should call and ask them if a decision on your application is coming next week. They will definitely tell you. It may help you avoid an ulcer🙂
 
@DjT3kN I got the call on Oct. 8 so we will probably hear around the same time! Keep me updated on whether you hear anything 🙂

@ashnicolee43 Of course! The anxiety is killing me but all I can do is wait. However, I'm partly worried because there's been 3 people on "hold" so far for NOVA within these forums and I checked their stats to find out that they're better than mine. (>_<) I'm highly hopeful that my LOR and essay may be just what I need to give me an edge....... hopefully.

@Lots of Praying Yeah, I hope the same for all of us. Being classmates with people from this forum/thread would help make transition into the DPT program a little better since we're all going through the same thing for the same school right now. Haha!

I don't think its all about stats. It seems like there is no rhyme or reason as to how any school makes decisions. I have seen people with poor stats get in and people with very good stats get rejected. I think sometimes that it may really all come down to your essay.
 
I agree! when I first got on here I was so scared because I was reading a lot of stats that were much better than mine. But then I started reading some stats that were around the range that I'm in and they have already been accepted to programs! That is such a relief to see.
I hope we all get accepted as well! That would be wonderful!
 
Where did you guys find the supplemental application for Nova. Do they send you an e-mail once they've received your PTCAS application or is it on their web site somewhere. As of right now I e-submitted my application but PTCAS is waiting to recieve my money order (sent it last Monday).

As soon as Nova receives your application they will send you an email to fill out the supplemental app
 
I went and toured the PT program on Thursday. I also was fortunate enough to be able to speak with the program director. With regards to acceptances, I was told a decision would be made in one month or sooner. I applied on August 28 and my application sent to the Adcom on September 3
 
I applied roughly a month after you so hopefully that doesn't mean I have to wait two months to hear something! :nailbiting:
 
I received an acceptance letter from Tampa campus for PT program, but I am more interested in Ft. Lauderdale(still waiting to hear from them). Anyone lives in Florida (both campus) could let me know how is the security/weather there? Thanks
 
Hi everyone. I was accepted to NOVA in Ft. Lauderdale last week and I want to let everyone know that if someone with only a decent resume (in my opinion) can get in, then so can you!

Having said that, I was wondering if anyone had considered the school from a financial perspective. The tuition and living expenses in the 3 years alone would go upwards of $100k and I wanted to know if such debt can be paid off while living comfortably on a PT's salary. It's the only reason holding me back from going to NOVA; if any future, current, or past students can provide some input, I'd be very grateful.

Congrats. Tampa campus tuition is 20,000$ per year. Fort Lauderdale campus tuition is close to 28,000$ per year.
Do you mind share your stats? Thanks

I got accepted to New York, but I am more interested in Fort lauderdale since it is cheaper living expenses than NY.
