Anyone going to Nova living in the graduate housing?

One of my girlfriends who is attending Nova as an undergrad really recommended not living on campus as a grad student. She said it is really not worth all that it costs. Also, the living facilities around campus are easily accessible and more affordable. But I do not have any personal experience with this...
