Hey all, I am thinking about applying to a few Au.D. programs, but am a little hesitant. First, I have a low GPA (2.94) from Undergrad, which was about 2 years ago. I have been working in a semi-related field (speech pathology clinic). What are my chances of getting in? Also, in your opinion, is the field worth the debt? How much are Au.D. graduates typically looking at in debt at the end? Thanks in advance.

From what I have read, is most schools want a 3.0 GPA or higher, but it is not the nail in the coffin. If you have outstanding letters of recommendation and GRE scores then I think you have a fighting chance. It's worth calling around to a few schools you like and asking questions.

In my opinion, I do believe the field is worth the debt. Be careful how much loan money you take out, file for as much assistance as you can, and work part-time to supplement your income.

Best of luck to you!
