Nova Physics vs. 1001 EK Physics

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Easily Nova Physics. EK 1001 Physics primarily consists of discrete like questions. There are no passages. The closest they come is presenting a scenario with a set of questions. For instance, two people with different masses stand on scale. Answer these questions. They are not passages. Even though I say this, I still think EK 1001 Physics can be helpful. However, on a budget, go with Nova Physics for better practice problems and content review. Furthermore, BR Physics is better than both Nova Physics and EK. It offers great content review AND it comes with 100 practice passages vs Nova's 49 passages.

neither. But the nova physics book has much better questions which help you learn the material.

I see....

Actually SN2ED, I have all three books (EK,NOVA and BR). I started out using the BR book but even after reading the chapter I was doing soo badly on the passages that I decided to switch books and if I have time go back to BR passages after completing the NOVA book. Do you think I'm making a mistake by switching? I just figured that I don't know my content well enough to go through the BR books....

Thanks!

Yes, you're making a mistake by switching, IMO. Berkey Review has the best practice exams out of all the prep books.

Hello,

I am wondering the same thing. I own both the Nova and EK 1001 Physics books. I don't have time to do all the questions in both the NOVA & EK 1001 books, so I was wondering, should I complete all the questions in the NOVA physics book and forget about the the EK 1001 book? Or should I try to do at least some of the EK 1001 problems? I also have Kaplan online practice material to do as well. I really need help determining which practice material would be the most efficient use of my time. If anyone has any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a lot! 🙂

Forget about the EK 1001.
