Hey guys, I just talked to Ms. Akeena at Nova the addmission committee will start reviewing application starting from 2 weeks now and they will be sendinding out the invitations after that.

it is a spaced -based program!it depends on the availability of seats each year!

I interviewed at Nova on March 16 and we were told that we were the last batch of interviews. Plus I think their class is pretty much already full.

I haven't heard anything yet which probably means bad news 🙁

This person is talking about regular admission for US applicants. Their application process is completely separate from the IDG applications! Please disregard this post by teeth22.

Teeth22, if you're reading this, then these group of international dentists are not applying for the same seats/spots as you. You are a regular US applicant with a US bachelors. These international dentists come in during the 2nd year of dental school. Please don't confuse them with you.

Fido is correct! How NSU IDG dental program works is at the end of each academic year, we see how many 1st year dental student fail out. If one fails, then we only take one IDG student, if 10 US students fails, then 10 spot will open up to be replaced with you.

However, in the future, maybe in another two years or so, NSU CDM is planning to increased it's class size from 105 (current number) to 120 with all new seats specifically for IDGs (no longer "space-based").

Good luck to you all. All of the IDG classmates of mine in my class, I love. I have 11 of them in my class. Great people and some of them are very very beautiful. Majority of my IDG classmates are Hispanic.

i think 11 seats is a good number, better than other spaced programs that have like 1-3 seats...........i hope they really have 11 seats,this is good news!!

I just confirmed my appointment with Ms. Akeena on the 2oth and this what I found out guys :
1. Only 11 seats available.
2. Over 200 applicants so far.
3. Only 1 interview which is one-and-one.
4. 10 people per interview date.
5. Bench test in May for those who are chosen.

Is there anyone who applied and got rejection ?? My score is 88. How about my chance thee?/ Do they accept ECE?? or WES? I am very upset. i dont think i would get call. I have one question. They who got interview call have already given interview anywhere else too?? If anyone knows how man students they are gonna call for interview, can you please tell me??

YES.......there is benchtest !!!!
I personally talked to Ms. Akeena, whoever passes the first round (interview) will be invited for BENCHTEST..........so please do not speculate, there is benchtest.
I wouldn't post anything which did not have good sourse.

i called ms akeena, she said they have 3 interview dates n she confirmed my name was not on those 3 days, n there r gonna be no more interviews other than those 3 days, unless somone cancels their interview, there r gonna be no more interview calls, n everyone is gonna hear in one week thru mail abt the final status.this was what was told to me over phone, please do not hold me against any discrepencies that might arise, i am only sharing this info for anyone who might be waiting to hear from nova.this is what was told to me, somone else might be told somthing different, so please have space for that.thank you

i just called nova and the infos are.... interview 10 people each day, there is a bench test but not everybody is gonna be invited for that only those who pass the interview phase, the fee for bench test is $2500 ... i was so shock to hear this it is kinda expensive to think there is no assurance of getting in the program ,is it really this much even in other schools for bench/practical test? though there are 11 seats for this year they are calling over 50 for the interview just want to share this info to everyone....

does anybody know how much it usually cost for a practical exam in california universities? or anyother school? its $2500 in nova the practical is compose of 1)canadian wax carving exam 2) full metal crown prep 3) class2 amalgam prep 4) case analysis and presentation..... anybody has an idea on what is in a case analysis and presentation? does any other school have this kind of exam as part of their psychomotor test? 😕
