Hi Everyone! I just got invited to an interview for Nova Southeastern University's Clinical Psychology Psy.D program. How many people do they usually take in for an interview, and what should I expect? Also, what are the chances of being accepted if you are invited to an interview?

My interview date is December 8th!

I'm sure your chances of acceptance are quite high based on these numbers. Expect standard interview questions, they may differ depending on which track you are most interested in.

I graduated from NSU with my Ph.D. (1999). At least back then, if you made it to the interview stage for the PsyD program there is a higher probability of being accepted. You will probably be interviewed by several different persons including a current doctoral student. You will likely just be asked standard questions regarding your undergraduate work, research, interests, why do you want to become a Psychologist, why do you want to attent NSU, etc. Make sure to ask questions about the program including practicum / research options.

If you're going into neuro stuff, make sure you have research options that do NOT also involve the Amen clinic.

I mean, I can tell when someone has severe PCA or the like.

Their involvement w Dr Amen was a huge negative for legitimate neuro ppl. The only good thing about the Amen Clinics are they put out trash reports that any halfway decent neuro expert can shred in a PI case.
