Too many... (>_<) LOL!

For me, all of California... there's too many to list but it's scattered around the nation. I applied to 20+ schools. 🙁 I'd be sooooo devastated if I don't get into at least one.

I applied to NOVA, USF, UCF (which I've already determined will be too expensive for me 🙁), FGCU, Midwestern, and NAU. I'm pretty nervous. This is my first year applying. I think you will definitely get into a program! have you applied before?

This will be my 2nd year applying... my 1st year I only applied to 7 schools and I submitted them at the deadline. This year, I threw a wider net and submitted my apps earlier. I really do hope I get into a program, but my cGPA and GRE aren't that great, so hopefully my pre-req GPA and essays can make up for it. But we'll see... I'm taking the GRE's again but with a 40hr work week, volunteer hours, and night classes; finding time to study for GRE is soooooo difficult.

Good Luck to you, though... what are your stats if you don't mind me asking.

Not wonderful actually.
My Overall GPA is 3.45
Science GPA is 3.44
GRE is 147V, 146Q, and 4AW

I have an interview to Midwestern. I'm hoping my essay and letters help me a lot. I've heard a lot of encouraging words that stats aren't everything, which I'm hoping is true.
In my opinion, if you've gotten an interview somewhere then they are done looking at your stats and are more concerned with the kind of person you are. They are already pleased with the way you look on paper. That's why the schools that don't do interviews make me nervous.
If I don't get in this round I will be retaking the GRE, getting more volunteer/observation experience, and probably moving to Florida. 🙂

USF, UCF, Miami, Armstrong Atlantic, Georgia Regents, Thomas Jefferson, and DeSales

Same here. Looks like I will be attending barring any mishaps.

Thanks guys, I hope the process is going well for the both of you!

Congrats to those that were accepted.... I was told my answer would be ready this week or next one so I'm very nervous.... If y'all don't mind me asking what were yall stats?

When did you apply? I applied at the end of August. I just assumed since I didn't hear anything that I wasnt accepted. I'm supposed to tour their campus Thursday. I was going to cancel today since there's no point touring a school I won't be going to. Sounds like there may be hope afterall.

I applied August 15th ptcas, but I got a confirmation from nova that my applications was complete and ready for review on sept. 12th or some like that.... I wouldn't assumed a rejection until you receive the email... If not I would be thinking I've been rejected from everywhere and that's not the business... Keep the hope alive !!!!

@Dpthopes I applied to Lynchburg, most schools in California, Pacific Uni, LIU, and a few others... I just need one to say "Yes" but I'm really hoping that NOVA accepts me this cycle. NOVA is on my top 5 choice schools.

I'm definitely trying to keep hope alive🙂. I've certainly walked through fire to get to this point and I hope one program out there will notice and accept me. I hope everyone on this thread gets accepted🙂

I'm on the same boat, so I can understand.. It will happened

From what I hear from previous applicants to programs, Not hearing anything is sometimes better. It means that you are still being considered. There's always hope!

Well I toured the program today and it was very impressive! I was there for about two hours. I spoke with Tony for about an hour and I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to speak with the program director. It ended up being an interview more or less. I was asked the standard questions about why I wanted to be a PT etc. Everyone there was very nice also. They told me I would hear something within one month. So anyone who applied around August 28 are probably looking at the same time frame. Hopefully that will ease some minds🙂

How did you set up that tour? I have been looking to go and I have not been able to find a way to set it up

I just called and spoke to Tony Garcia and he set the date and time up. They are more than willing to give tours and answer any questions you may have. I think its a good idea to take a tour🙂

Yeah, I went to the open house and of course it covered only the actually college of Rehab science, not too much the program... They were more concern of selling the D.O and the optometry school more than anything

It looks like the estimated cost for year one is roughly 28,500 for tuition and fees. Is this the same for years 2 and 3? Maybe @knj27 can look into it and let us know? I can't seem to find anything regarding years 2 and 3. If it's the same, this is officially out of my budget.

I think you have me confused with someone else...are we still talking about nova?

Yeah, I'm saying that you are typically good at finding information and I was wondering if you could look into it. If not, no worries.

^^^Eh, heck if I know! Idk if I can google anything any different from anyone else lol. But I'm glad somebody thinks I'm smart ha 😀

DPTcoasral, if Nova is the only school you get into, you may not have a choice, regardless of budget. You can go to any school you'd like, since loans will cover everything, just depends what you're willing to sacrifice down the line in terms of loan repayment.

Thankfully I've been accepted into another program so far and am currently planning on starting their program next year. I was asking for some clarity in regards to Nova's tuition since their faculty/admin haven't really given me a straight answer besides the cost for year one. thanks!

I just got accepted as well!! Unbelievably happy🙂. Congrats to everyone else who has been accepted, and good luck to those who are waiting!

I received an acceptance letter from Tampa campus, but I am more interested in Ft. Lauderdale(still waiting to hear from them). Anyone lives in Florida (both campus) could let me know how is the security/weather there? Thanks
