Now, the DAT set became harder than last week

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why is it that whenever someone scores high, everyone says "the test was easy," and whenever someone messes up, everyone says "the test was hard?" How come it's never "he/she studied hard and it paid off" or "he/she screwed around and messed up?"

Stop trying to come up with a pattern. It will only make you freak out more and you don't need that a week before your exam. This is a completely random process, and there's no way to know which version of the test you'll be taking until you click "start" on that computer.

Just relax, study, and hope for the best!!

No need to worry...

This is the unofficial scoop from the ADA....

If you get the "harder" version of the test, you will be given the golden key to the crapper; no questions asked and 3 points will automatically be added to your AA.

*do a search, this is peak season for the ridiculously high scores*

**Winter quarter is when scores are usually low and everyone complains about the "new" DAT being harder. By mid-summer, that myth is shattered to little pieces**

The test is standardized, there isn't a test that's harder or easier. They are all roughly the same in difficulty, it really depends on how well you prepared yourself. If you've been seriously studying you too will have solid scores. Stay confident and don't pysche yourself out before the exam.

I seriously believe Crocodile is a easier version according to many of the posts, the avg. for that particular version is pretty da*n high compare to others.

Are you kidding me, have a little confidence in yourself and your preparation. Just because some scores are showing up as lower than the insanely high ones we have been seeing in the past week does not equate to easier tests. My buddy that did poorly seemed to try to boost his low scores by attacking those who scored well and say, "If they would have had my test they would have gotten rocked." I just laughed and said your right it has to be the tests fault.

When you go to take the test try to be positive and think positive. If your thinking it is a more "difficult" test, the first question you don't recognize will start a panic attack and you will begin to convince yourself the test is harder than it really is. Take a deep breath and take it one question at a time. Good Luck to all who are about to take it.

Well based off of the past several posts, I have seen some really awesome scores. So I really doubt it is getting any harder. It's a standardized test and they are not going to screw you over like that.
