I have heard that there is a push for NP programs to confer doctoral level degrees rather than masters because the intensity of the programs is higher than most masters.

1. Does anyone know if it is true?
2. Are NP programs going to take longer because of this?
3. What would you call a doctoral np in the clinical setting? (Doctor Nurse?)
4. Would it be wrong to identify yourself as a dr. if you had a doctorate NP degree because it would convey the idea that you were a MD or DO?

any answers or ideas would be helpful

The dude is so far behind....
