Anyone have any weird side effects with this drug? The last thread on this was in mid 2010. I don't know about you guys but I got so many weird side effects from Savella, the latest wonder drug, that caused anxiety, suicidal thoughts, hypertension and general crazyness that I've just been sitting back and watching to see how this drug pans out

I have a lot of people on it. I would rather use Nucynta than Percocet. I like it, they like it. The only person that sticks out in my mind was a kid who said Nucynta caused panic attacks. He wanted oxycodone--and the UDC was positive for methamphetamine...

Didn't your Rep give you co-pay vouchers?

I can never keep track of vouchers, coupons, etc. Sometimes the MA's know and will provide it to the patient at checkout. Even with vouchers, I've had patients call the office and complain about cost.

Seen good results.

Had one patient report delirium and hallucinations but they were a little nutty and had tried a lot of things but "nothin work(ed) except Dilaudid".

It is working far better than its mu binding affinity would account for. I am surprised by it's clinical efficacy in patients I expected to report it did nothing.

And I don't even lecture for these guys....

Nucynta is a CII and not really like tramadol.

None. Have folks on cymbal ta 60 bid and 400 mg nucynta per day.

SS is always a risk.

I always give the spiel about SS when starting Nucynta with a SSRI/SNRI on board. Haven't seen any problems yet with anything seratonergic rx and Nucynta, but I don't try to tempt fate.

I HAVE had a couple of folks complain about anxiety assoc. with Nucynta.
