does AMCAS have a standard number/letter grading system?

can anyone post the link

ie....what is a 2.8...is that considered like B-?

I'm wondering because as a freshman and sophmore i went to a school that used the number system. I got a 2.9 and 2.8 here and there. Anything that was less than three just kind of seemed bad to me. But if its a B- is not as bad as i thought, but still should and could hav been better.

Thanks

Are the 2.9's and 2.8's out of a 3.0, 4.0, or 5.0?
