NY In-State Residency status

I am currently a NY resident (living and working here full time for almost 2 years now) and have applied this 2015-16 season as a NY resident, but am considering moving from the state for some months during the year for work/travel. I've contacted the SUNY residency info site's contact, but does anyone in the vast SDN network (bit redundant there) know something about this?
