For those of you who have interviewed at NYCOM in the past few days, did anyone tell you when their adcom meets for this round of interviews to decide our fates? I ask because someone put the seed in my head that they likely meet and send out letters before their winter break so that they do not have to worry about it when they return. I know UMD-SOM is doing this (Dec. 19th meeting), so I am wonderinf if NYCOM is doing the same. I have an interview at NYCOM on 12/13 and at UMD-SOM on 12/14.

    Thanks!

I had my interview the other week and they told us it should be at least three weeks i.e.- right before winter break

THANK YOU!!! I interview on the 13th, and I want so badly to know either way by the end of the year. Good news would be a great way to ring in the new year; bad news would put some closure to my pipe dreams of remaining close to family and allow me to focus on the other great schools with which I have interviewed/been accepted. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks! I appreciate it. I hope your interview went beautifully. I will PM you soon! I don't want to ask you questions about your interview until mine is over; it does not feel right to me :). I am sure it went great, and I cannot wait to compare notes.

    Shenningdo,

I'm afraid to know how much money you are spending on all of your interviews. Good luck!

    :D

:) Honestly, it has not been too bad. I have been on five interviews (I turned down AZCOM), and I am going on three more. Of the five I went on, I only flew to two (Nova and CCOM). Though I hate to drive, my mom, who I happen to be very close with, loves to drive, so she came with me to UNE, WVSOM, and VCOM. They were long drives, but it saved a lot on airfare, and I had so much fun with her. My next three (NYCOM, UMD, and PCOM) are all within 2 hours of my house :). The money is worth it for this amazing dream we are all working so hard towards. I wish you the best of luck!

A little birdie told me that the admissions office is hoping to give first round interviewees a "Christmas present", i.e. a decision by Christmas. I will know more tomorrow after my interview.
