sorry.. but when i did a search, i couldn't find an answer to my question.

i'm confused on the application process.
after submitting my app on AACOMAS i rec'd a letter from NYCOM saying they were reviewing my app.

do i send in my LORs now?
and
secondaries are filled out on the day of the interview if you are offered one?

so i just send in LORs and wait to see if i get an interview?

thanks in advance!
any advice/info is appreciated! 😀

When did you submit?

and when did you get the letter stating your appl. was under review?

i got a letter in mid to late august telling me not to send any lor's until 9/1/05. since we're past that date, it's probably okay to send them.

I don't think any applications are under review at NYCOM. In the letter, it states that a review of applications will occur starting in Novermber.

errrRrrr.
i sort of lost the letter too.
so thats why im stuck not knowing wat to do.

so its okay to send in LORs now?
is that what other (you) other applicants are doing?

sorry im just unsure of the process.

thanks.

i'm still waiting on one my science letters, which is should get by next week. once that's received, i'm going to go ahead and send them. even if they're not going to review them until november, i think it's fine to send it, especially since my letter did give that 9/1/05 date.

I do remember it saying you can start sending in September as well. I am sure its not a big deal.

so after sending in the LOR the file is 'complete' so to speak and reviewed
then
if applicable.. interview invites sent out
and
at the time of the interview is when the supplement is filled out.

so as of now regardless of status...LORs are to be sent in?

thanks for everything!

You guys have it right...

After your primary (AACOMAS) is submitted, send your LOR's to them as soon as you can get them all together. After you are sure that they have been sent to the school, call every few weeks until you make absolutely sure that they were all recieved and that your file is "complete". When/if you get an invitation for an interview, they will send you a short secondary form which is to be brought with you on the day of your interview.

As long as you are patient and polite with them on the phone you will have your questions answered, but be prepared, last year they took an incredibly long amount of time to get things processed, complete and under review. Best of luck
