I have received secondaries from all of the schools I applied to with the exception of NYCOM. I recall hearing somewhere that you don't fill out a secondary until you interview there, but do you still send LOR's there?

Any information is appreciated. Thanks! :hardy:

I called and asked if I could send my LORs to them...they said it was fine, I think they'll help them make a decision for an interview invite too, if they bother to look at them. I'd call and make sure before you do it though...

You should try to have your LOR send there as early as possible. You will not receive the secondary until you are invited for interview. And you only pay the application fee when you are interviewing + filling out the secondary application. It sounds strange but this is what happened to us.

Hello guys,
Does anyone know when NYCOM starts sending out interview invites. What was the earliest time last year that people started to hear back from this particular school.
Thanks,
Keith

Hey Keith:

Just to let you know, NYCOM hasn't sent anything out regarding secondary applications/interviews yet. They are sending out invitations for interviews in a few weeks - once you get that card in the mail it's your responsibility to call up the admissions department and schedule an interview. On the interview day, you will fill out your secondary applications. The interviews wont begin until sometime in early November. Hope this helps!

If you have any questions you can call the admissions dept to check on the status of your application.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Mad Max,

Thanks for the info! When I called NYCOM yesterday, they didn't give me nearly that amount of info - just that they haven't sent anything out yet...

Question: Should I send in LORs, or jsut wait?

Send in your LORs right away, that way your file will be complete. On the day of your interview you will meet with Mr. Schaeffer, the head of the admissions dept. He will then go over your file with you to make sure everything is there/complete. It's better to have everything in prior to your interviews that way whoever is interviewing you can have a complete picture of the type of candidate you are. Hope this helps!
