Hey guys! I've been looking for this kind of thread for a while! I applied on 8/27, was offered an interview on 9/21, and interviewed on 9/27 at 9:30. Still haven't heard anything from them, but I recently received a rejection from Touro. Has anyone heard of any wait lists or rejections so far, or when they might come? I'm getting anxious because some people have already been accepted

175 observation hours in outpatient and inpatient focusing on rehab, mental health, pediatrics, geratrics
extracurriculars involved working with kids, I did a capstone project at NYIT undergrad with their health science school, and work there as a peer tutor
I'm hoping that being an undergrad student here has some pull

I interviewed sept 26th too!! I wonder how many they accepted from that interview group! I know right, as of right now this is where I’ll be attending lol

I plan on accepting and putting the deposit down as my back up school in case nobody else accepts me, but ideally I would like to go to a school closer to me - it took me 2 hours to get there for the interview in traffic! Im from staten island haha

Congrats on getting in! Im a 1st year student and im also from SI. The commute is tough but i found an apartment right near the campus. Its a great program!

NYIT gives a $3000 per year scholarship for their graduate programs, cost is high but in line with most NY private schools. Also, NYIT alumni can get an additional scholarship. State schools are the only "cheaper" options.

Hi Gina! How are you liking NYIT? We could def use some insight about it. Is the course loud tough? Are you able to work while in school? Are the professors nice?

Also! My OT said that they make you dissect real cadavers in anatomy she attended NYIT over 10 years ago so I’m hoping the curriculum changed but did you have to dissect a cadaver for your anatomy classes? Sorry for all the questions!

wow i know this is a super late reply but ive totally forgotten about this website haha, but i love the program so far! we did have cadaver lab BUT we did not dissect anything!! the medical students did the dissections, our professor and two teaching assistants just pointed out structures and we were able to touch something if we wanted to, it was basically observation and just a learning experience. the course load is pretty tough, especially the first fall semester with kinesiology and fieldwork 1. we all got through it so you will too! i do not work however a lot of my classmates do, but i personally don't feel like i could do as well as i am doing if i was working. and the professors are really nice! some are better than others but they are all definitely super nice and really want us to learn

I have applied to Touro but NYIT is my top choice so I’m hope I get in ! I haven’t heard from Touro yet but I know that they do not start till the end of August. I think I did well with the interview but I have some pending credits still so that might negatively impact my chances 🙁
