so now my NYMC interview is set, I need to figure out which airport to land on and the details on how to get to the school. I looked on the interview feedback site and could only make out so much ...if anyone could let me know the best way for this..it would be great !!! 🙄

not sure on the airport, b/c I took a bus to NYC
but once in the city make your way to grand central and take the metro north train to Valhalla. then you can catch a cab for like 10 bucks. the time from the city to the school can take around 1 hour. I suggest staying with a student host if you can. good luck

Any of the airports (JFK, Laguardia, Newark) are okay. Grand Central Station is on 42nd an Vanderbuilt. Any cab drivers know where it is, and I know there are busses from Kennedy and Laguardia go straight there. There is also a public bus that goes from LaGuardia to 125th and Lennox, which is the next stop on MetroNorth (what you would take to White Plains) so you can get on the train there. You can also take the trains, but its a little more complecated, so you are better off with the first suggestions.

One Suggestion: Fly into LaGuardia, take the M61 Bus from outside of baggage claim, and get off at 125th street and Park Avenue at the Metro North Station. From here, you can get the train to Valhalla.

Otherwise, you can do the same thing, but get off at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue, take the 6 (subway) to Grand Central Station and take Metro North from there. The only benefit is that if you have to wait for your train, you'll have a nicer place to wait, but the trains run pretty regularly, so you probably wouldn't have to wait too long.

If you take a cab from LaGuardia, ask for the cab driver to drop you off at MetroNorth's 125th Street Station (125th and Park). If you take a cab from JFK or Newark, ask the driver to bring you to Grand Central. I would recommend option number one, first - the bus is 2 dollars and can be paid on board. If you feel intimidated, though, just take a cab. What's an extra 30 / 40 bucks at this point, right? 🙂

Thanks to all of you guys who responded. I really appreciate the help. One of these is bound to have me there on time 🙂 Thanks guys again!
