I have heard that they review waitlist files everyday. I called last week and was told that they will be going to waitlist very soon (prolly now) and expect to take a lot off the waitlist. The nice lady also told me that they often accept people even during orientation which begins August 5th.

when were you notified of your waitlist??

did they say how many are waitlisted and how many will get in? I heard rumors that last year only 2 waitlist got in......i would really like to attend NYMC and have been waitlisted...

I interviewed March 25th and was waitlisted about 8 weeks afterwards. It was a pretty discouraging letter that said we can't accept you but you can be placed on our waitlist or something like that, was yours the same letter? Anyways, that stuff about only 2 people last year is not true. My good friend is just finishing his first year there and said that a good number of the people in his class got in off the waitlist. NYMC is my first choice, I'm anxious about the mail everyday

Yes Student10019, mine was as well as some other people's. There are two other threads related to this topic. Check them out. Anyways, the status change was merely an up-date of their system ever since being waitlisted. Good luck.

Hi, everyone!

I think I've asked this question before, but what do you think your chances of getting off the NYMC waitlist are? Do you think the earlier you interviewed, the better chance you have? If the waitlist truly is unranked, how do you think they pull people off the waitlist?

Okay, and one more thing: someone on another NYMC Waitlist thread said that last year, only two people were pulled off the waitlist. Anyone verify this?

call NYMC today....

they said that they have not move to their waitlist and will be expecting next week or the week after next...

tried to get some numbers on the amount of waitlisted...but she wouldn't say....

any other info...please post...thanks
